Do meat eaters only eat meat? Do you ever eat bread, pasta, asparagus, tomatoes, strawberries, and food like that? ';Vegetarian'; food is simply food that isn't a dead animal!

I'm sure it may be difficult to begin, if all you're ever used to is meat, but in no time, you'll get used to not eating meat.
You can try this site:

Yes! You can turn almost any non-vegetarian meal into a vegetarian on. There are meat alternatives for just about everything (bacon, burgers, chicken nuggets, ground beef, chicken strips, pepperoni, sausage, hotdogs...You name it and they probably make it.)

This website has a link to a TON of free vegetarian recipes as well as a link to ordering a free vegetarian starter kit.

Best way to cook chicken to use in recipes that call for cooked chicken?

I love chicken and noodles and chicken and dumplings, ect, but hate chicken that has been boiled. I think it is tasteless and sticky. Does anyone have a good way to cook it, I use boneless chicken breasts, besides boiling that would be good in recipes like I mentioned above? Thanks!Best way to cook chicken to use in recipes that call for cooked chicken?

Basic rules of cooking: Boiling reduces flavor

Baking concentrates flavor

this is true for veggies two try making a potato salad with baked instead of boiled potatoes.
I like it Italian style. Fry it in veg oil till done then add Ragu sause and simmer; cook pasta: then put pasta on the plate with the covered chicken and sause and add cheese etc to taste.

Chicken salad is my diet favorite or chicken taco cassarole is a nice change.

Now your making me hungry! :) Good Luck
Try boiling it in chicken broth and spices or bake it with different spices
It's perfect if you have a George Foreman or other indoor grill. Heat it up, throw the raw chicken in there (with or without seasonings), and let it cook; in a few minutes it's cooked, tender, juicy, ready to be put into soups, sauces, casseroles, or whatever. Besides being yummy, doing it this way you don't have to boil, and you don't have to heat up the oven.
CHICKEN ROASTED IN COOKING BAG

3 lb. fryer

Garlic powder

1/2 apple, cut in chunks

1 sm. onion, chopped

1 rib celery, sliced

Salt

Wash chicken and remove skin from neck. Sprinkle a little garlic powder on inside and outside of chicken. Mix apples, onion and celery and stuff into cavity.

Put chicken in cooking bag. Cut 6 (1/2 inch) slices in top. Roast at 400 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Is very moist and tender.
i poach chicken for those kind of recipes.
I'm a big fan of The Barefoot Contessa - Ina Garten. Her method of preparing chicken is to use the bone-in chicken breasts with the skin attached. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil. Roast for about 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove from the oven, and let rest until cool. Then, remove the skin and bone. The skin keeps the mean much moister - and the bone gives it more flavor.

I use this method every time now - and there is none better!
grill and bake, steam , poach or saute to generate some color and flavor the deglaze w/ white wine andfinish the process
Have you tried boiling it with chicken boullion cubes?

Instead of boiling it you could bake it and then add it to the soup.

Is there a game were you have to like cook stuff with certain recipes??

I dont mean were they give you the recipes. They just give you foods and you have to make recipes. Is there a game were you have to like cook stuff with certain recipes??
There is a game where you have to build a tower using only food items. Give points to the highest tower, lowest calories, and most # of food items used. Marsh mellows and spaghetti work well for height and calories. Make sure the tower stands on its own, no hands can hold it up.

Then (as a surprise) you can have the teams make a meal or edible dish out of the foods they used in their tower. The team with the most points could choose an extra item to cook with? Get creative. Is there a game were you have to like cook stuff with certain recipes??
Ready, Set, Cook was the name of the show on Food TV
That is basically like Iron Chef. You can do a contest where everyone gets the same key ingredients and makes a couple of dishes. Then you taste and judge.
The game of LIFE! As in Real LIFE!!! ?

Sounds like an intriguing game, if it were a 'game' and not actually also IRL. Could be a lot of fun.

pizza dough

1. 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour

2. 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

3. 1 package quick-rising yeast, such as Fleischmann's RapidRise

4. 3/4 teaspoon salt

5. 1/4 teaspoon sugar

6. 2/3 cup hot water (120 to 130 degrees F)

7. 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil

2. Cooking Directions

1. Combine whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, yeast, salt and sugar in a food processor; pulse to mix. Combine hot water and oil in a measuring cup. With the motor running, gradually pour in enough of the hot liquid until the mixture forms a sticky ball. The dough should be quite soft. If it seems dry, add 1 to 2 tablespoons warm water; if too sticky, add 1 to 2 tablespoons flour. Process until the dough forms a ball, then process for 1 minute to knead.

2. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Coat a sheet of plastic wrap with cooking spray and place it, sprayed-side down, over the dough. Let the dough rest for 10 to 20 minutes before rolling.

3. Place a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet on the lowest oven rack; preheat oven to 500 degrees F or highest setting. Roll and top the pizza as desired (we suggest a 13-inch circle) and bake the pizza until the bottom is crisp and golden, 10 to 14 minutes. Serve immediately.

My dad has been diagnosed as borderline type 2 diabetes, and he has both high cholesterol and high blood pressure. We have improved our eating habits before this news (multi-grains, light butter, low caffeine drinks), but our biggest obstacle wil be on eating low carb, and not frying meats as much. Could anybody help me out?

If it helps, we're all meat eaters-but my dad loves chicken and pork especially. Thanks to all who answer!Could anybody help me find quick and healthy recipes to cook.prepare?

Check out Cybele Pascal's website and cookbook. She has a son with food allergies and came up with the cookbook from her experience. It's called ';The Whole Foods Allergy Cookbook'; and her blog currently has a recipe for sponecake on it. There's also a youtube clip of her on the Martha Stewart show making cookies. Just search youtube for Cybele Pascal. I think some of the recipes in the book contain wheat but have directions for how to substitute if you need to - most use other types of flour. It is not a gluten free book, but does avoid wheat and dairy.
Go to the health food store, like GNC or whole foods, and try different types of flours, rice flour works really well as a substitute for wheat flour. Soy milk (plain) is a good substitute for regular milk. Ask them for suggestions.
i dont have any recipes per say but for past go oriental in the oriental you can get rice noodles that might help
